Hey guys,
im just in the market for a hail damaged VE GTS, does anyone know
of any in perth? Looking for a manual, colour doesnt really concern.
Any info just post here or PM me.
Thanks guys
This would be the place to go: Car auctions Perth WA, damaged car auctions, truck auctions | ManheimFowles
I saw on the news that a substantial amount of hail damaged cars went there after Melbourne's epic storm (Fowles in Melb.)
And this is exactly what you are after: Car Auctions, Buy a Car, Auto Auctions - Pickles Auctions Australia
Amazing what a google search will do
Basically, if you buy it from anywhere else, you would be buying from someone who has bought the car from these guys most likely (unless I have missed other(s) auction groups), so you will be paying more.
Both of these sites have a search feature so you can search through and find what you are after.
Good luck!
Hey, thanks mate, ive already tryed them all, and no VE HSV's unfortunately.
Theres meant to be thousands of damaged cars around!?!? Where are they all?
If anyone finds me a GTS or R8 thats going at a good price, I will give a cash reward.
what do you call "cheap"? whats your price range
Whats a cheap hail damaged VE HSV worth? I saw a 07 GTS go for $30,000, so something like that?
Couldnt be many hail damaged GTS'... they are normally pretty well looked after. An SS would be easier, but good luck to you buddy!
Theres been a few around but ive been to late....
Still looking if anyone see's something I might be after.
You will find that most hsv's in show room are keep in the actual building and unless the roof came down they are still good.
Good luck with ur search though
Same with people that own them. Chances are they have a nice big multiple car garage and would have been saved from the recent storms. I know if I owned one, I wouldn't leave just in my driveway.![]()

Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
God must love stupid people, He made so many.
A bit true!
You guys forgot to mention the Leased ones - trashed by fat pig that own companies and they are a big fat tax write off! They get a new one to trash every year!
The first of many examples I saw out the front of a Building company office - was a new Yellow Banana - It sat on the street every business day - It lasted about 3 months till it copped a big hit in the front, then I noticed this guy was getting all the best cars and wasn't there some damage attributed to all of the different "top of range" dream Holdens you tax payers would cream your pants in!
That guy deserved to be shot!
The damaged ones are out there, but if they do go through an insurance write-off process, I doubt, because of insiders working in the game, they would even make it to auction!
And I don't think people with real money and a car garrage bigger than your local church will even bother to look at a Commodore forum for advice or how to get rid of there hail damaged collection?
Theres alot of Hail Damged HSV's out there, take a look at North City Holden, they had about 20. All of there cars are outside, same with barbagallo's, they got $200K+ cars sitting out in the weather that got hammered. Diesel Motors, chellingworth etc the list goes on.
Big deal.
If I owned a company, the way I treat my company car would be of no business to anyone.
You don't get a new one every year either.
I personally know a guy that owns a mining consultancy. The bloke rakes in over $500k a year and in the last 10 years I have known him, he spends no less than $120k and gets either gets a Lexus or Audi and just deducts what he can up to the legal limit.
I couldn't care less how he treats his cars. All I know is after 3 years, he has a brand new one sitting in his driveway. Good on him I reckon. I'll be doing the same thing in another 10 years.
