Snatch Strap tow?

Is it illegal to tow a car with a Snatch Strap or rope in Vic?

Are there limits or permits I need to do so?

Snatch straps aren't made for towing. Towing with one will prolly reduce it's lifespan by a fair bit. And ya won't know until ya go to pull someone out and she breaks. They're made to stretch and retract, and are only suppose to be used like 10-15 times b4 ya replace them.

Dunno bout the legalities tho. Just go rent a trailer.

I've used a snatch strap before, it was all we had at the time.
I was in the car being towed, and it was one ****ing back breaking ride home, which was nearly 100km's.
Alot easier to use a tow rope.
