just brief intro of car first
2006 holden statesman v6 running on duel fuel vapor injected
kms 215000 its a taxi
so when the engine goes cold it will take like 10-11 cranks to start the engine. after its hot no probs starts in one go. the other day it had it it wouldnt start at all had to tow it to mechanic changed the petrol fuel module(i think thats whats its called) and it started after a while. They cleaned the fuel injectors they said one was blocked.
Now its still having trouble starting an suggestions.
If its the old school vapour injection it may have a dicky priming system.
Usualy they prime with a small amount of gas and sounds like yours is not doing that.
na its not a old sytem. should of added this umm the car starts on petrol then after a few seconds of driving it will switch to gas. so the car never starts on gas
If you have a gas start option, try it. Usually the change-over switch will allow gas start but holding the button in for 10 seconds or something like that. Let us know how you go.
it doesnt have a gas start option we have to take it back to gas man i think they can change it in the computer settings or something. its also coming up with a powertrain failure now. the electrician fixed that and yesterday it came back, ill see how thing go, going back to electrian and mechanic this saturday
if its meant to be starting on petrol the you prolly have a fuel leak. an old skyline of mine had a leaky regulator which meant the fuel would drain out overnight and take quite a few cranks to fill the line back up again.
