is it possible to get extractors that bolt onto standard y piece?
or do i have to get y piece cut and get new flanges welded onto it?

depends on brands you buy. some will come with the y peice some will bolt to your existing y peice.

when i had my vs v6 the headers i bought came with a new y peice that bolted to my cats. not sure if you have ever done headers on a v6 before but they can be tricky so maybe just get price of supply and fit

i only have a flange inbetween can and exhaust therefore i do not understand how it is possible to get a y piece that bolts to ur cat. My y piece is physically connected to my cat without any flanges

you will have to get exhaust joing to fit it up then unless you are a handy with a welder or know someone that is. worth looking at on ebay for second hand complete system too.

There's not really much point in having them bolt up to the original Y piece. Have you seen the length of the OEM headers and where the OEM Y piece starts? The extractors would end up being so short that they wouldn't really have much benefit.
