Captain O'Hagan: I swear to God I'm going to pistol whip the next guy who says, " Shenanigans."
Mac: Hey Farva what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy shit on the walls and the mozzarella sticks?
Farva: You mean Shenanigans?
If your driving style is normal or even spirited at times then Bendix pads are fine. I have used Bendix Standards (now General CT) in all my cars for the last 15 years. These included a 10sec street driven VL turbo, VS V6 S pack, and just last year I put brand new DBA standard rotors and Bendix General CT pads on my VZ Calais V6 and they are silent and pull the vehicle up without any drama. I drive normally most of the time, but sometimes spirited in my cars and they have held up over the years.
I wouldn't even know who they would get to make the genuine ones.
It does depend on your driving style as to which Bendix you go for though. Bear that in mind as there are a couple of different levels of pads from standard to performance. Im assuming you have a V6 VY S Pack? As I say, if you drive normally or even a little bit heavy footed at times, then the General CT pads will still hold up fine. If you drive heavy footed and brake late when approaching intersections and you do this consistently time after time in close intervals, then that may require performance Bendix, and even changing to slotted rotors etc. But thats another kettle of fish.
Genuines are rubbish so don't let price make you think any different. Anything is better.
should be right with bendix mate
Bendix are very reputable brake pads - nothing wrong with them
I'd choose them over genuine, irrelavent of price
Go look in the GSL Rallysport thread at QFM HPX pads.
They are the equivilent of Bendix Ultimates in terms of performance, but don't charge for their name.
I've used them on my VS and VX and they are good, I'd recommend them.
id definitly go with bendix over genuine theres a few different types you can choose from

I have just had the genuine pads replaced in my VX SS, first set of pads from new (63,000km) I am the original owner, the workshop has used the standard Bendix pads, they feel exactly the same as the original genuine pads, whether they last as long remains to be seen, but so far very happy with them.
I use Bendix Ultimate all round & DBA slotted & drilled rotors. The pads have put up with a fair bit of abuse but still have heapsa meat remaining. They arent dusty either.
