If your talking about Ring end gaps no you dont on oil scraper rings.

Just make sure that the 2 thin oil scraper rings are opposite each other and not level with the gugeon pin.

i gap every ring or at least give them a quick slip down the cylinders and test 1 or 2 with a feeler gauge and then just visually check the rest of them to see if they have similar gaps most are all the same length in a pack most of the time.they wont expand as much as a top ring so they are sweet anyway make sure the ends of them arnt together one under the other and arnt where the spreader join is.will be instructions in the ring package
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

To do this propperly use a piston turn it upside down and push the ring down the bore using the piston upside down, that way the piston skirt will make sure the ring is square to the bore with the most accuracy.

Sweet, turned out the oil ring was the right size anyway. Got the pistons installed.
