Polishing intake runners?

Do you guys reckon it would be beneficial to polish inside the plenum and intake runners? I know you're supposed to leave the intake ports rough though.

A lot of effort for no result IMO. Unless you go a big cam and do extensive head work.

Thanks for the reply. Well, both of those will be done but i wouldnt call it a 'big' cam or the head work 'extensive'. I guess i'll do it if i get bored. I was more just making sure it wouldnt be a detriment.

Are you leaving the runners rough or making em smooth?
Im about to do similar stuff but I have no idea whether
I only do the entry to the runners or actually smooth the whole
inside of the runners??
