I have noticed that Harvey Norman advertised a sale on gps yesterday. May be worth getting down there and checking it out. I have a navman unit that is about 6 years old that I have been happy with if this helps.

do a search on google. see if you can find the a website that has tested them for good and bad points, that would be the way to go. with tom (as ive called him) you cant back track where you have gone, but its got a girl with an irish accent so its all good!

Do not go Uniden (if they are still making them). It locks up frequently and you can't update the database as you can with Garmin. Garmin are the GPS kings really.

And with the Garmin Nuvi range there's a very easy utility to put your own (or your partner, child's, etc) voice on the units
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?
