Hey people,
I did a few searchs and couldn't fin the answer I was looking for.
In a few weeks I'm getting a ramjet otrcai put on my ve v8 calais.
I asked Paul down at D&T performance if he could fit it for me, he said no worries and that was a good choice (ramjet) he also said he could do a maff tune with it too so I won't get picked on by the cops.
My question is, what's the main difference between the two? Will I get more power or better throttle response from the maffless?
I'm not worried about the cops having a look under my bonnet, I'll deal with that when it comes, but if te two are the same why would you go maffless if there's no need?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it.
Cheers
Going MAFless cuts restriction out of the air intake. Less restriction = better, faster airflow into the motor.

Many people are getting fairly big power gain from just a OTR and a mafless tune, so I say go for it.

The gains from going mafless as opposed to maf aren't as big with the l98 as the maf isn't as restrictive as it was on LSX engines. You might see a difference of about 5rwkw on a 6.0.
Huh, fair enough. I've mainly read about LS1s and they get fairly good gains.
