Default Can't make up my mind

Hi, i only just registered as I'm about to purchase my first ute. I'm torn between 2 and am hoping I can get an experts opinion / insight into which would be better.

2004 HOLDEN UTE S VZ Cars For Sale in WA - CarPoint Australia

    or

Holden Commodore VU Series II Storm Ute | Vans & Utes | Gumtree Perth

any help advice is much appreciated!

    thanks

Personally Id get the VU as I hate rollbars and the VU has better mags. But the VZ is a newer model so will have a much newer looking interior then the VU. The VU's have close to the same interior as the VT/VX's.

the rims on the VU were scratched to bits and I did think the interior on the VZ was a lot nicer, my mate who works in Parts distribution for holden mentioned some of the VZ's have some engine troubles, can any body confirm of deny this?

The VZ also had all of the paper work / service history etc where as the VU didnt, I'm just hoping i make the right decision and dont get a dud

    Thanks for your help

VU looks nicer, but will need to be cleaned every day....

VZ doesnt look too bad. Alloytecs arent too bad. depends what you prefer to drive.

I'm not a car or holden buff, my previous car was a lancer and since I'm getting an auto im not a purist or whateva you want to call it. Basically im just looking for a reasonably safe purchase which looks half decent, isnt going to attract a tonne of attention from cops and gos pretty well

At the moment im thinking of getting the VZ, then slightly down the track getting a cat back exhaust and some rims with my tax return.

I think then it will be looking / sounding pretty decent hopefully

Go the vz buddy, what is stopping you from just removing the roll bar and putting some nice rims on later. The only positive aspect the vu has over the vy is the colour (Not a fan of red) but each to their own, you may like it.

A hardcover for the tray will make it much cleaner to.

ahh also, those wheels look like they belong on a ricer...

EDIT: its always a safer purchase when buying a newer car imo
