Respray Question

Ok so long term Im thinking about having my car re-sprayed as there are a few spots on the roof that are shitty and the doors have quite a few marks (no dents or bad scratches or anything) and Id really like to have the SS looking all shiney and new looking again one day. So I have 2 questions.
#1. (For anyone whose had a respray or is in the business) What $$ would I be looking at for a full outer respray?? (wouldnt need all the stuff like engine bays etc done) I done a search for previous threads but all I got were heaps from back in like 06 or 07. Just looking for a current rough price.

#2. I wouldnt be looking to get a completely different colour done as I dont wanna worry about engine bays etc, but my question is, could I get it resprayed basically the same colour but just a bit brighter/lighter colour? Nothing major or anything so the parts not resprayed didnt look out of place, just those few shades lighter would be good as my car is Raven Blue (i.e almost black, and is a bitch to keep looking nice)

ring up places or go to them and get quotes. theres no point us giving you figures because there are too many variables.

I wouldnt do any prep work. Id leave it all to them to be done properly as I know nothing about paint etc. I know there are many variables and stuff, I guess I was just looking for if there was anyone on here that has actually had a full respray done and what it did actually cost them and what exactly they got done etc. And if anyone knew whether me wanting to get it slightly lighter would make it dearer because it might take the spraypainter longer or something.
