Hey guys, im just curious as to whether u polish the previous layer of colour before applying a clear coat to it.

nope dont cut n polish it as it will leave tiny swirls in the paint and when you clear over it you wont be able to get rid of it. get the car to pretty much how you want give it a sand with the finest wet n dry you can then give it one last light coat of colour let bake/harden then give it as many clear coats as you can if it s dark colour usually the more clear you put on the deeper it will look. to many clear coats on a light colour and it will ever so slightly get a little bit darker but not overly noticable.
