im thinking of selling my vyII s and buying an SS. but i cant decide between a vyII, vz, or vzII(1/1/06 onwards). i know all 3 would be excellent but would it be worth forking out an extra couple of grand for the 6L v8? or will the 5.7 still go hard?

Go for a VE
Get the VZ 5.7 and spend the money you save on exhaust and tune.
Buy the newest you can afford
get the vz with the 6L because with a exhaust OTR and tune they will go harder then a ls1 with the same stuff done
found a '06 VE SS online. 50k on the clock and for only 25k. its hail damaged tho(from recent hailstorm in perth). hes sent me some more photos and its not that bad. he says its repairable and thats he's negotiable on price.

My vote is for an L76 VZ SS. Not a VE fan especially one with hail damage.
'07 ve**
yeah thats what i thought too. and i much like the vy/z shape better. but it is a very cheap buy for a mechanically very good car. surely wouldnt cost that much to get the dents magnetised out

I'd be careful buying hail damaged car. I was looking at a calais that was damaged too but after talking to my panel beater he advised me against it, could cost more to fix than you think.
