putting a vz ss flute into a custom guard

well i just bought a pair of fiberglass front guards, but they don't have the clips for the actual flute.. is it possible to fiberglass the back of the flute into the guard? my mate said it would melt the plastic? im kind of leaning towards silicone but need some ideas? will silicone stick to fiberglass/plastic? all i need to do is put these flutes in and its read to be painted and go on cheers

Use some Sikaflex. It is a type of silicon that is very strong. most panel shops use it to stick on badges , chrome trim, lenses on lights or anything that needs to be stuck together.

Yeah mate I've seen the fibreglass resin mix melt plastic so i would steer clear. as mentioned, use Sikaflex. Its strong as, will be the best bet.

yeah mate my painter mate is gonna paint them and see what he can do with the flutes, he told me to steer clear from silicone coz the paint doesn't stick.. sikaflex is the way to go i think
