    Default No Accelerator response/Lacking Power - Injector Problems?

    Hello,

    Is it Forbidden to talk about other makes of car here ? :P

    have some problems with a 1985 Toyota Corona

    delays in gaining revs and has little response with acceleration

    spare the " Buy A Holden " comments :P
    maybe direct me to a taylormade forum to help me out. ( I cant find one )

    85 toyota with fuel injection? any who I know nothing about them... it was a hard search try this search clicky it'll be the first link :P or in failing that Corona Country.

    Has it got a 22RE engine or a 2S ? You could try Toymods Forum for an answer. It helps a lot if we know what engine is in it.

    all I know mate is its a 2.4 litre from a 1985 Toyota Corona CSi model ...

    It could have a blocked air cleaner or exhaust. Have you taken the spark plugs out to see if they are black from running rich.

    #3 was the only black one..

    Found the Earth was loose, so tightened it and hasnt missed since .
    hope thats all the problem was

    maybe replace plugs, leads, fuel filter, start with the cheap stuff first.
