Black Interceptors

Ok so here's the story. Got a set of interceptors (15X7) off a mate for 2 chasers (15X6) Now I find a lot of people tend to paint chasers silver so I was thinking about doing the opposite for the interceptors (painting them black) What's people opinions?

If you dont want them to be silver just sell them and get a cheap set of black stockies, you could get a few hundred for the original interceptors and you could buy some black stockies with tyres for $100, then get some centre caps and chrome dress rings and they will look sweet:

I have six stockies sitting here :P The way I see it if I paint them black and want to go back to silver it wouldn't be that difficult. Plus I like the fact there an inch wider and also have that lip.

I was thinking of painting my stockies silver, i really like the idea of just leaving them black but now that i've seen yours 98VTMAN. Where do I get the caps and dress rings from? Cheers!

Well I got bored and did it any way. Did it the cheap and nasty way and left the rims on the car and sprayed wheel nuts and every thing :P Looks damn good now and surprisingly you can tell it ain't a stockie even more so now.

Its to clarify that one is 15x7 and one is 15x6. That is a pretty significant difference.

Your 15x6es, while they may have have come off a cop car, are no wider and therefore no more desireable than the 15x6 stockies every prick has in his garden shed.

BTW I dont run real interceptors anyway, mine are 16x8. my 15x7s are just for skids

IMO the black looks the best, but it does really depend on the car. vt's for some reason appeal to me more with silver than black..

Yeah going from the silver to the black has made the whole car look so much better now as well as heaps lower which is a good thing. Silver just didn't match the white car to be honest. I swapped 2 stockies for a set of 4 ceptors and I paid a whole 500 bucks for the car so I don't really care. Heck I even painted my bonnet black at one stage if you check my thread.
