I'm buying some speco gauges for my VS.
Is it better to buy the Mechanical or the electrical ones?
Which are more reliable/better quality etc..
someone care to explain apart from the obvious (one is electrical the other is mechanical)
I would go electrical, then your not running oil and pressure into your dash.

what do you mean by that?
What's the advantage/disadvantage of each?
I'm thinking either one of these combos.
1.Oil Press
2.Oil Temp
3.Water Temp
1.Oil Temp
2.Water Temp
3.Amp/volts
I think that mechanical oil and water gauges are illegal to be installed inside your car ( anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong )
With the mechanical gauge you need to run the oil or water right to the gauge, and with electrical you run from a sensor. ( usually close to the water or oil source )
Righto, I have just confirmed that Mechanical ones are illegal!
So it's electrical ones then! beautiful!
Handy thread this, never knew.
