    Default anyone know of somewhere in QLD i can get this fixed

    i bought this VR a while back and it only just went through roadworthy anyways i hoped under the car cause i heard an annoying sweak and this is what i found i have trashed the car but the previous owner did and somehow this passed roadworthy i think its very dangerous and i want to get it fixed asap does anyone know anywhere i can get it fixed fairly quickly in either brisbane south burnett or widebay area thanks heaps

    gee mate, most people would, err, wreck the car for parts. however, a good welder should be able to weld it, but the metal structure is corrupted and i dont think any amount of weld will help get its strength back. maybe even a panel shop. it looks like someone has tried to weld it before. but its really not worth fixing that length of steel.


    *edit* maybe post up a shot of what it is supporting, where it actually is etc.

    its that piece that comes down from the chassis and the panhard rod bolts onto

    maybe appeal to a panelbeater on here. all i really know is that i wouldnt touch that with a ten foot pole.

    gonna get the old panel shop i worked at to have a go cause i dont wanna get another shell i just resprayed my car and its dent and rust free the onli problem is that and whoever welded it last time needs a smack upside there head for such a shit job

    all fixed got straightened and welded and reinforced today
    mmm loving my VR
