    Default Anyone good at math?

    Hey guy's,

I was wondering if someone could do some calculations for me, as i would not have the slightest clue on where to start.

I want to run 2.5 km, is 12 minutes, or under. Currently my best time is 14 minutes 30 sec.

Can some one please tell me in km/h , what speed i would be averaging right now, and then what speed i would need to average at, in order to meet my target time.

A huge thank you to anyone who know's how to, and is willing to calculate this for me.

Average speed is just distance per time (distance/time). So start by converting your 12 mins to km/h (mins/60 = 12/60 = 0.2hr) then divide your distance by that time (distance/time = 2.5km/0.2hr = 12.5km/h). Then do the same for your 14.5min time.

Anyway, looks like you need to average 12.5km/h, unless theres something I'm missing

if ya running 2.5k's in 12 mins, you would run 12.5k's in 60mins, which would be 12.5kph mayb

    edit- was a bit slow

You're currently running 2.5km at approx 10.5km/h. To do it in 12min, you'll need to run at 12.5km/h.

*too slow, you guys beat me to it.

    60/12 = 5 5x2.5=12.5km/h. thats what u wan't to achieve right?
    60/14.5 = 4.12 4.12x2.5=10.3km/h thats what u are currently doing.
    I think anyway lol.

Walking is more like 4km/h, depending on your walk. 8 would be a moderate jogging speed.

    True
    4= pussy farting around
    5-6 = average walk
7 = not quite a power walk, but more then average
8 = that awkward speed between power walking and jogging that pisses me off and i never walk on lol

12.5 is possibly and should be achieved pretty easy if you are already on 10kph
