Info on best carb for 253 please...

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the best carb would be to use on a 253? Would a 500CFM Holley 2 barrel be any good??? recommendations please

Holley is nothing more than a fuel bucket and are best relegated to the scrap metal dealer. There is nothing wrong with a rebuilt Quadrajet that has been jetted by somebody who knows what they are doing. Combine that with a dizzy that has been regraphed to suit the carb and cam and you will have something that surprises many.

quadrajet is the only carb to have. get one tuned by someone good and throw that holley away.

another vote for the Quadrajet.
got to do a little more research in finding parts and/or people who can set them up properly, but it's well worth it.
