Hi guys,
I've got black Altezza projector headlights as you can see:
They're shi**ing me up the creek. They were in other people's eyes (lowered car = bouncy / bad angle apparently) but now I can't see crap so I tried putting stock globes in. No dice so I bought some philips H1 x-tremepower globes from autobarn today. Bit of an improvement but now the right side has shorted or some crap (very dim light visible) which happened while I was adjusing them.
Wondering if anyone can recommend a HID conversion kit? Maybe off ebay or anywhere well priced? Just want to be able to see without blinding others. Open to any suggestions.
Here's what I'm getting from the left side at the moment:
Right side is crap (when it's working).
Can't go back to stock headlights got rid of em.
Cheers.
Sure you can go HIDs, be aware they will be illegal though. I wouldn't go past 6000k temp otherwise its just cop attention seeking. But should throw out a brighter light.
Thanks mate. Should I go for something like this:
H1 HID Headlight 6000K Xenon Conversion Kit Blue/White - eBay Headlights, Lights, Indicators, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 09-Jul-10 15:37:42 AEST)
Or 35W too low?
Click on my link below. Read this thread and my post which is the 2nd one of the linked thread. Some info there for you.
HID Kits of eBay
You will need a H4 kit i beleive if the VTs have a H4 globe, you will know a H4 globe if it has 3 pins/doubles as a high beam.
Thanks for the link HoldenOnn didn't find that one.
These aftermarkets are using H1 globes as both low beam and high beam, no idea why. Not sure if I can/should change size
im 99% sure you will need the H4 size, so the HID globes fit into your headlight sockets normally
