Has anybody here heard anything regarding cars that have not been regoed for 10 or so years will not be allowed to be re registered after about september or so this year? I have heard this from a few people lately but cant seem to find anything official. Probably bullshit but ya never know these days.
We havent heard anything through work, doesnt sound right to me, if it can pass a roadworthy inspection in its respective state then i cant see whay i matters how old a car is.
Ace_VP's right - as long as the car is in a safe and roadworthy condition, I can't see why they'd have any trouble with letting you part with your money. I can't see why they would introduce a scheme like that, all it would do is cause headaches for people who restore older cars, not to mention it wouldn't really accomplish much - you think about how many cars there are on our roads that are less than 10 years old yet are not roadworthy.
Unless it was to do with a safety thing, to make people only drive cars with ABS and airbags. Kinda like how in japan as a car gets older it costs more to register. I don't agree at all by the way. I still love older cars.
Maybe they want to discourage all the cheap bombs from being on the road? make out country like japan is it? gotta replace cars after a certain age or kms on the odometer
