Question vn, vp & vr cruise control

    :bangHi everyone,

I am trying to set up my vn-vp crusie control using the vr-vs stork control. The vn-vp use an "ON/OFF" switch & the vr-vs use a momentary switch to send input to the BCM to switch ON C.C.Module

By Using a clutch relay I am able to use vr-vs stork, after taking apart vn-vp switch control and vr-vs stork I found a couple of resisters that I have no idea what they do. The vn-vp has a LED which lights up when stitched ON and a dash pilot light when engauged wherte as the vr-vs have 2 dash pilot lights and NO LED's

I hoping someone out there has some knowlege on a person or a contact No who I can contact who can read a circuit board and explain what the resister's are in a circut's for?

    Many thanks guys, mathopower

The 470 ohm resistors limit the current that can go through the tactile switches that sit in the stalk....I have tried a couple of things to make the on/off switch on the stalk work on a car without bcm circuit....I grafted a push on / off switch from a old computer into the stalk and it was very fiddly but worked ok
I have also made a toggle circuit using a 555 timer and relay and it worked also without having to touch the switches on the stalk.
After you are done playing with the cruise you can have a go at putting a vr/s wiper switch that goes on the column in and get rid of that stupid binnacle switch for it....I did it to my vp and it was soo much better to use.
This is my vr that I rebuilt ....CLICK HERE to see my vr on Cardomain ......if you want to check it out......Anyway make sure you rubbish a ford daily ....I am a 4DH8RZ Club lifetime member .................new members joining everyday
