How do i work out the paint colour code

Hi all, I think I have found a replacement bonnet and wing for my commodore and it looks to be the same colour but how can I double check with paint codes to make sure.

Will the colour be in the vin somewhere?

This is the VIN from the car that is being wrecked if part of the vin is the colour which bit should i be comparing with mine?
