I'm after a glove box air guide (little doodad that clips into the side of the glovebox and routes air from the HVAC system into the glovebox, for keeping drinks and stuff cold) for my AH Astra. From what I've read on the Astra forum I'm a member of, I need Vauxhall part number 13115964. Is there any way that a Holden dealer can look this up on their system and get me the right part? (for the record, it is fitted to some Astras here in Australia, there's a blurb about it in my owners manual) Just wondering, as I somehow get the idea that even though its all GM, that I'm not going to get all that far walking into my local Holden dealer and quoting a Vauxhall part number.
Dealers can be pretty good, just give them a ring and see if the number comes up as anything. They have a good system, if you quote them an old part number they can get the part that supercedes it etc.
I work in the parts dept. at a Nissian dealer, and having worked in parts for some time now, I can tell you that pretty much anything is possible. Because Nissian is a Japaneas car company we do order parts from Japan and they are all running the same part no
i just looked up the part number for you and its the same for 2004 to 2009. they are $10.70
Excellent, thanks for that guys.I've actually got to book the car in for a service, so when I'm at the Holden dealer I'll pop around to the parts counter and order one.

I tried a part number from the GMGlobalconnect website under Holden VE on SI (service information) and the number was not found in the GMNA system. Some parts are the same and some not. For instance my gas cap says Holden on the tag and my GXP fascia came from OZ. Also when I ordered the floor mat retainers, it had a pick tag on it from the Holdens PQC.
