I can take a photo of the wiring behind the head unit if you'd like? Id rather have it running through the head unit than amp

There should be model numbers on the amps somewhere on them. Post them up and we can see a bit more detail on them. Any reason you want them off the headunit?

Oh, and we need to know how many speakers you already have and what they are running off

I'd like them off the head unit because the wires are short and It would be a pain to get them running off the amp as the amps are in the boot. I'll get all the model numbers now, thanks heaps!

What we need to know, (for those of you playing at home) is the colours of the speaker wires off the back of the sony headunit, to hook up an extra 2 speakers.
I assume current speakers are running off the amp/s

From the look of this Stealth 316 the wires you are looking for are white + white/black for one speaker, and grey + grey/black for the other.

I realise its a different headunit model, but I'm in a hurry and companys will generally use the same colours throughout the range.

Oh, and the striped wires are the negatives

And yes the others are running off the amps, so I would need to connect the red wire to white? and the clear one to black?

Depends which wires to accidentally connect them up to. If you get the +ive and -ive wrong way round then it will still run, just in opposite phase.

And it doesn't matter if you connect the positive to the red wire or the clear wire, just make sure that the white goes to positive and the white/black goes to negative. And the grey goes to positive of the other speaker and that the grey/black goes to the negative
