    Default 308 Thermo Fan

Looking to put a gilmer drive kit into the VH.

Running a mild 308 so looking at thermo fan ideas. Done a bit of looking around and the AU fans keep popping up. But so do mondeo fans. Does anybody know what model Mondeo the most suited fans come out of?

Also, would i be able to get away with a single thermo fan, say a 16 inch? The car isnt going to be a daily driver. Just a weekend cruiser and some track work. So i dont anticipate much sitting in traffic with it.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

Mate, just go the Ford fans, whether it be EF/EL, AU or Mondeo (can't really vouch for the Mondeo ones, only ever used EF/EL) they're fantastic. Single 16" will struggle to keep a tidy 308 cool. The reason why the Ford fans work so well is the shroud covers the whole radiator core, so it cools the entire radiator. Your radiator is only as big as the fan cooling it, so if you run a single 16" (which is unshrouded) thats all that's getting cooled 16" of core.

When i build a car, i always get the biggest radiator and fan/s in as possible. Heating problems are the worst thing IMO.

Cheers mate, got the AU's today. Looks like it's going to be interesting fitting them in.
