NRMA is giving me the sh1ts, as well as currently paying $150 a month for insurance.
I am 23, and have never made a claim in my life (touch wood)(oh and car is insured for $19000). I am interested to know what other UNDER 25 fellows are paying for piece of mind and please state who you are with and general driving record if your comfortable with stating it of course.
And has anyone ballzed it and laid that nothing will happen to their vehicle(5 yrs +/$15000+)?
And BTW YTF should I pay a $1000 excess for my age when I am the ONLY person on the policy. To me that is a slow cooked crock of it.
They should Price the the premium to the risk and IF ANOTHER DRIVER CRASHES YOUR CAR THEN ITS PAYABLE. (listed or unlisted)
cheers.

Im 19 I have never made a claim and have a clean driving record. I pay about 1000 for full comp agreed value of 14,000 with budget direct. I was quoted 2200 through racv and 3500 with shannons so it definetly pays to shop around.
I'm with RACV, purely because they seem to stuff up alot, in your favour, I've just turned 25 but since i was 18 i was automatically given a Gold member card (Gold members are generally long term members iir , 25+year members or something like that) which reduced my payments by a shitload, give them a call and hope they stuff up your pricing too, it's saved me a shitload that's for sure :P
im with shannons and have my VZ insured for 15k and my VS insured for 5k and my house contents with them and i pay 1800 a year.
my excess is 400 and under age excess is 300
i drive a vt clubsport r8,
i am 21 and my insurance is the same, though my excess is like $1800 if i run it of the road lol,i own the car its insured for $18000
0 crashes,0 licences suspensions,i am the only driver, insured through just cars-the only place that would full comp me.
I was quoted something ridiculous like $3000 through AAMI (didn't bother checking what the excess was though). Cars only worth like a thousand or two. Went with them for my third party though, was like $370 with a $1700 excess. Only reason I went with one of the big ones though was because I heard companies like Just Car and Budget Direct are a real sh*t fight to claim through. (I'm 20 BTW)
I am 23, male, with modified V6 VX, and I pay $1000, my excess is standard $400, plus $400 23-25yo male excess. With Just Cars.

with CGU for my ute, costs me $2100 a year and im 22, insured for $18,000 excess is $700
my VX is with SGIC, thats $840 a year and anyone can drive it and still get covered if something happens, insured for $12,000, excess of $300
was the best i could find, only went with SGIC cos my house is insured with them and i got 12.5% off my house and car insurance when bundled together.
I was paying about $1200 last year for my VY S insured for market value, i just got a quote from NRMA about a 2010 SV6 and I'm looking at 975 before my no claim discount. I've had 0 fines and 0 at fault claims. I've got a 35% ncd so it should be around the $650 mark this year. I'm 20
im 20. currently no licence thanks to horsepower+wet road+hooning, with just car i pay $2400 a year for my 6.0ltr insured for $43k plus mods.
im 20, i've had one major crash(written off), im pay $800 a year and excess $400
Check out my Svz

Im 23, pay nrma $950 a year for a modified ss, excess is $600. Never had a ticket but. Insured for about $20ish
22, Modified SS with JustCar insurance.
900 a year, however my execess is around 2500-3000. However I do have a very pretty agreed value.
18, Holden S ute Manual, Insured for $17500, $1770 per yr and $2500 excess..
AAMI.
24yr old male.98 VT SS. 11 tickets, 3 licence suspensions, 1 written off vehicle (a bike) in the last 12 months, no other crashes or damage ever. NRMA is $1500/yr for agreed value $9K. $600 excess
i'm 19 and drive a vy ss ute insured for 17k and the cheapest i could get was through QBE at $2800 a year suncorp who i had already been with 3 years without a claim wouldn't cover me at all and aami wanted some thing like 5200
Thanks for all your replies guys, quite a mixed bag of responses too by the look of it.
VZ_SS are you sure you don't have an age excess with the nrma? Mine also says $600 then at the bottom it sneaks in the $400 age excess. Do you have a multi policy discount with them? I would be happy with $1000/yr for $20,000, much better than $1680/yr for $19,000 being the same age and similar car I'm getting the shaft ha..
Lol loving the gold card freshjivin...
Some of you guys have fuge excesses though, damn.
