its a personal choice dude. but if you need a straight opinion, neither. why you ask, simply because of the stupid cost of insurance & its more of a target for dipsticks to either try to race ya or pinch it. on top of that most of them have either been thrashed to hell or go extremely high km's on them.you will still find the odd one that hasnt been though. just buy a standard executive with a gen 3 engine in it which would come under 10 grand. with the 10 grand left over you could throw money at the car making it handle better & go quicker etc. have a looksee at my for sale post at the executive i'm trying to sell(the silver one). it will give you an idea of what you can get.

AHH. Cheers for the input mate. Might even think about a vy sv8. Not too sure. was looking at a clubby for the features. I.E. interior or etc but will keep hunting and make my view a bit broader of what im searching for.

Go for a drive in a B series XR6T if not bias. That coin will get a VY ls1 and Id head that way be it more basic its going to be a better car allround. The SV8 is great bang4buck.I nearly went for one but the extras and easy power won me over on the XR6T.

Im a Holden man at heart but a good car presented at a good price is hard to beat, the Ford has it at the moment imo.I know Ford Forums is that way lol.

Goodluck, alot would admire the position you are in.

I do like the idea of an XR6T. Will look at test driving one. But I just love the grumble of a V8.
Thanks for all the advice so far if anyone has any other opinions im open to everything.
