Ok - my VT is still gioving me headaches, so I am going to try and come at it from another end.
One symptom that defies the book is that when revving the engine (in neutral) to 5K or therabouts, I am getting some deflection on the speedo needle. There is no deflection below about 4500 rpm, but at 5500 or so it look slike about 20KPH reading on the speedo.
If the traction control is not engaged, then the traction control light will flash, and the dash will beep...
Anyone got a clue as to what this indicates ?
For the record - No error codes logged, replaced Cam sensor, Crank Sensor, dfi, coils, leads, fuel pump, fuel filter, vacuum hoses and oil pressure sender. Cleaned injectors, TB, Manifold plenum, PCV, fuel lines, vacuum hoses, full service done.
Currently on the list of potential suspects is Knock sensors, MAF sensor, oxy sensors, road speed sensor..
The rest of the storry is that I'm experiencing a miss, only below about 1700 rpm, only when cold, dissappearing when warm (after maybe 15 minutes of driving). Its erratic, infrequent and inconsistent. Oddly it doesn't occur at dead cold, most often between engine indicating warm and the 15 minute mark. At idle it will stall maybe twice in that time in regular driving.
Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated - I have spent close to $1600 on this so far, which has come out of my supercharger fund
SOLUTION -
Coolant temperature sensor was reporting ambitiously, indicating operating temperature before it was appropriate, changing the fuel load and causing the miss. Of course the miss would dissappear when the engine really got to running temp, about 10 minutes after indicated........
