Exclamation Diff between Clubsports and SS's

    Hey guys,
I am looking into buying either a VT II Clubsport or a VX SS, both run a LS1 (correct me if I am wrong), the Clubby runs 250kw at the fly and the SS runs 225kw...

What is the difference? The tune or? Because the SS I am lookin at has extractors and s/exhaust, lowered and on rims, but the clubby is just plain old stock.. I also cannot afford to do many mods what so ever for a while, possibly only a OTR but after that.. nothing... So please help me!?!?

Whats going to work out better?

(I realise that the Clubby has more kw at the moment, but should I just put up with the less power for a while or better to get the Clubby first out..) - both engines are sporting 150,000kms on the ODO

Get the SS mate, although the clubby seems to have more power, VX SS is newer, and looks better as well.

    Power isnt everything.

I'd get the VX SS as all you really need is an OTR and maffless tune and then you will have more than the clubby.

Have a look at which costs less for insurance too.

Which one do you like the look of better?

yea the ss is newer but in the long run the clubby will hold its value more and is more a appreciated. id more look into service history, n what seems to be more looked after. to me with the ss having exhaust n stuff i would take it that it may of been pushed harder, least with the clubby it seems to be a more looked after car, seeing that it has the same k's as a newer car!
    thats just my opinion..
i had the same trouble when i bought my wagon, i was wanting a vx, vy 5.7 wags, but i stumbled across my clubby, yea i wanted something newer as i had a VS but i looked into what had been done and reliability. least wit my cluuby it ant gonna drop in price compared to a vx vy in 5, 10 even more years..
shold take that sort of stuff into consideration.
wait a while to put exhaust n that sorta stuff on, atleat then you can say its ur car!

Thanks for the replies so far guys.. Yes both have the same kms on it.. And the other thing that I shlda sed was that the clubby is a yr 2000 VT II ( auto ) and the SS is a 2001 VX (yes it's a manual).. So yer.. That's what's got me confused and yer.. I'm not to worried what I can sell it for later on.. But I suppose insurance is a good thing to think about, excepth I'm 20, it's gunna cost slot either way.. Haha

Got it for 13k plus my VS Calais... which was a V6.. and I pushed them pretty hard to take my Calais for 3k so... Pretty sure we can all see how much it ended up costing me..

I thought it all worked out quite well...

But yeah... HSV do hold their value alot more... Just make insurance more fun where I live
