Default Doing up a Rodeo, help needed.

    Hey guys,
Firstly, im aware that this isn't about a commodore but i want to help a mate up that is wanting to do up his car.
He has a 1994 Holden Rodeo Space Cab (2.6L 4cyl Auto) and is wanting to do it up as a mini truck.
He has done a lot in regards to rims, lowering, re spray, custom tray ect, but is now wanting to work on the performance side of things.
He is looking at things like CAI, bigger throttle body, exaust system ect, and is just after a few specifications or helpful advice as to what he should be looking for and where (different sizes of throttle bodies, how to go about cai, best exaust systems for a space cab ute).
Nothing amazing but something to give it both a nice acceleration and tone.
Cost isn't too much of an issue but he doesn't want to go too over the top.

A little bit of help would be GREATLY appreciated.
    Cheers guys.

    keep the 2.6.

those engines are so solid, so much torque at low revs. get onto gemini forums or something like that because they love putting the 2.6 into their cars, gets them really cranking.

a good turbo would liven it up but youre unlikely to find off the shelf stuff like a commodore because obviously not as many people have modded their deo's for more power.

He's really just looking at those couple of mods man, nothing too heavy.
I suggested a turbocharger but yeah its a hell of a lot of money ontop of the hassle to find one and tune around it.

not a whole lot of after market parts for these man, most people turbo them. exhaust wouldnt be hard, you might be able to get an after market cam.

    Mmm fair enough.
He is keen on a CAI, bigger throttle body, set of 4 cylinder extractors and a cat back exaust.
What do you think these would do for him?

from what i understand, its not as simple as putting a bigger throttle body on, it would make more sense to work out what the most restictive parts are and work from there.

    Oh really?
I was unaware of this at all.
I simply thought that a bigger throttle body always gave a better acceleration result?

i wouldnt think itd make a huge difference if there are restictions further along, if that makes sense.

id be asking someone who knows a bit more about that kind of thing like maybe a performance shop.

try ozgemini.com, some very helpful people there and they would have a bit more experience with these motors than most people on here. quite a few people have put these motors in geminis.
