Spare Tyre

Hey, Just bought my first car, I have on the car 245/40/R18 but my spare is 225/50/R16, should I be getting a new spare the same size as whats on my car, or would the spare work if i need the spare temporarily on?

it will be fine if you only use it to get you out of trouble i wouldnt leave it on there espceially if its on the back.

There's a ~22mm difference between those two tyres. I recommend you change your spare out for a 225/55R16 to match the other tyres. That way it won't matter where on the car you put it and won't cause any drive-line damage.
