hey
a mate of mine is wanting to put a 308 in an old toyota something and needs a sump with the bowl at the front.
so my question is did any 308s come with a front bowl sump?
thanks
surely someone must know?
The "bowl" on all of the 304/308 V8 commodore engines is at the front of the sump.
The Toranas & H series cars had the "bowl" at the rear.
cheers
Scott
I dont remember which way around it is, but HQ-WB is oposite to VB-VL.
One is front, the other is rear !
Either sump will fit any 308 ya just need to make sure he has the rite oil pickup it should be the short one from the commodore if ya use the sump with the pan at the front.
I have a VN/ VQ V8 sump and pickup ( front bowl) but I need a rear bowl and pickup HJ 308 type if there is any around
Nice thread dig.
There is a section at the bottom of the forum for this kind of stuff.
