Electric Folding Mirrors

Hi All,

Anyone know if these exist for a VE 2010 SV6?

At my office I park in a dirt carpark out the back of the building. There are a lot of inconsiderate people who with bags slung over shoulders walk around bashing side mirrors. Having them fold up at the flick of a switch would be brilliant to avoid that problem.

im sure if you were really that keen you could wire up a system with a switch to do it. I personally do not know of any commodores being made stock with them though.

I don't trust my wiring abilities...I'd be paying someone to do it. Just wondering if it would work, and probably, who would do it....

you could get it to work quite easily. Just need a little motor fitted with a cable pulling either side. Someone like an audio installer or a car alarm place should be able to do it mate. I wouldnt do it myself either mate. lol

Touche. Perhaps it's pertinent to include here that I'm exceptionally lazy and I think the mirrors doing it automatically, perhaps as the engine is cut would look cooler!

head into an sound system or alarm system installer shop and ask if they can do it??

Could probably pull the mechanism out of a Honda (they are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head) and rig it up to work in a commodore
