VS wont start. No cranking

FECK stupid starting issues are annoying me! First the ignition barrel and now this!

Went to start her up and it just won't crank at all, Nothing.

Starter Motor?

Leads?

Bit of a silly question because if it's not cranking at all that would mean that the starter motor has gone?

Stupid question, but where exactly is the starter?

All lights light up on the dash, all accessories turn on. Air con and fuel pump turn on etc...there is a click and the starter doesn't crank.

So 99.99% it would be the starter motor itself?

check ur error codes, if you've replaced the ignition barrel, i reakon u will be getting a 31 theft deterrent signal missing. which will be ur key contacts around the barrel

if not, check ur fuses then swap relays..

lets start simple but yes it could be starter, but lest rule out the easy stuff first

Barrel was replaced over a month ago, been running fine every day since then.

Haven't checked fuses or relays yet, probably should have done that. First thing in the morning.

Nope it's the starter she's dead as doornails. And also a faulty battery/earth terminal.

$500 later....

So the new starter has been intermittent and I'm thinking this one might have a faulty solenoid...

Try crimping a new terminal on the exciter wire. Either that or make sure the female connector is clean. Sometimes they just need to be pulled off and put back on a couple of times.
