Hey there everyone....
Its getting closer to the weekend where i must pull the old vn apart and install my new sound system properly....
While im doing this, i want to remove as many rattles as i can... In saying this, ive created this thread to ask all of you what your methods of doing this are? Firstly, when i say rattles, i mean the ones i constantly hear when i hit a small rock (being that my car is lowered with 20s and i feel anything).... I do not mind the bumpy ride, but i cant stand the car rattling throughout.... The parcel shelf and dash are the worst parts...
Some ideas i have come up with so far are:
- Take everything apart
- Line joints with self adhesive foam tape
- Tighten all screws
- Make sure all wires are tied down and cushioned properly (VK_3800)
- Stuff such as masking tape, blue tac, cable ties and foam (50LTRv8)
Please add anything!
Thanks

A lot of dash rattles (aside from loose/broken plastic panels etc) come from wiring that's been removed and not replaced properly - make sure its well tied down with suitable cushioning insulation to stop squeaks
Cheers mate, added...

Im almost certain those last 2 options would create more rattles? But heh, prove me wrong lol

It wouldn't be a commodore if it didn't have a rattly piece of shit for an interior.
