I have a driving test coming up,I'am a bit overwhelmed by using such a huge car for the test, would like to know experiences of others using the VE Commodore for a drive test before.
I'am particularly intetrested in specifics like the reverse parking and the 3 point turn, what else should I know about.
Could I adjust the side mirrors during the reverse parking so that I can see the ground and my rear tyre.
Any other tips would help.
I drive one every day and find it easy as for parking etc. If you struggle to perceive where the front/back of the car is then get one of the stalk things that the learner driver people have to help. Be very careful about being vigilant - you would be surprised what you can hide behind those pillars!

As said above, my dad has a VE SS-V and i drove that on my learners, the pillars block out so much of the view. Just double or even triple check before you do any moves.
Could I alter the position of the rear view mirrors while reverse parking, or is it not permitted.
some holdens do it automatically like my uncles grange for e.g.
its probly not advised as it takes time to do. just set them to the kerb before you drive and then pretend to look out of them. i never use my side rear view mirrors as they are liars and i only trust my own eyes with a over the shoulder look.
I did my driving test in a VX commodore, went easily enough, dont think you'll have any problems, the ve isn't all that much bigger.
