Bit harsh saying no one cares, you only posted a couple of hours ago. I know you are desperate but sometimes it can take a few days before someone with the correct knowledge comes online and posts.

Can you ring TAFE in the morning and explain you have car issues and ask for an extension? Maybe by the morning someone will be able to help on here.

Cheers Garth but it's the spring that makes the throttle rebound after hitting the accelerator that i can't get to fit right.

It's exams so I doubt i'll be able to get an extension but hopefully someone will give me a lift

Managed to get a lift to TAFE but cars still sitting motionless in the driveway, got a mechanic coming round soon... Just hoping he doesn't charge me a shit load for a small job. :|
