    Question removing blackout out rear brake light

    gday guys,
    going to despoiler my vz sv6 so i need to (legally) put in a 3rd brake light. Was going to put it in the parcel shelf were the usualy sit, however the windscreen is blacked out there. Is there away to remove that easily or is there a better way to mount a brake light???

    You would have to be one of the unluckiest people alive to get defected due to not having a third brake light. I wouldnt bother at all

    yeh it was more to the fact that i dont want some bloke running up the back of me due to them not seeing me braking!

    which side is the self adhesive strip on? design to stick on the inside or outside of the windscreen?

    yeh thanks mate, worried that might look a bit takey thou....if there was a way to remove the blackout lump it would be ideal, because it would then look factory...

    yeh i no, i found one out of a wreaked vy. but the problem is that part of the windscreen is blacked out so you wouldnt be able to see the light!

    yeh was thinking about getting one out of a wagon or something aswell, but there is a really think (probley a good 70mm) of the top of the windscreen blacked out as well!! its a bloody pain in the ass, donno why they do it!
    was thinking masking tape the bit i wanna remove and try things like nail polish remover turps and stuff like that?

    just wondering if anyone has dared tried to razorblade the blacked out section for a third brake light as I'd like to do it but unsure if it will turn out disastrous.
