Hello everyone.
Just interested to know what the parts locator is called, that holden uses to check stock around dealers in Aus
and if anyone knows if it is possible to get access to this program/server?
Mate. I doubt you'd be able to get your hands on it without paying a fortune for it
I've got an out of date copy of their program (bout a year old) but it's no good as they use a USB dongle which needs to be in the computer for it to work. Don't think there's a way around it either....not at the moment anyways. Dealers use to get a new CD every month or so I rekon as it was an updated version, and they have to discard of all the old ones.
I think they've just recently switched over to a different system now anyways, one which is over a secure network. And for some reason a 'legit' account can't login from any old computer.
I've found a version of the Nissan and Mitsubishi programs tho, got them off the net.

There's always a way around it if you can locate the software.
Yeah Fast (Nissan) is easy to get, Holdens not so much, you could always call your local dealer and ask them??
i think you guys are referring to microcat which shows what part is what on each car, but im after the program that shows them what each dealer in australia has in stock.
National Parts Stock Locator or something...its on a GM website call www.gmgobalconnect.com... if your good at getting around sites with passwords, itheres a link on the left hand side down the bottom...unless you have nerdy friends that can break through the password or whatever it is they do haha..i used to work for holden but i can't log into that shit anymore=[

Microcat is no longer used for Holden. The program we use now is called EPC. It's a bit of a step backwards because it's online and change compared to microcat. I got used to it eventually but still annoying sometimes. National Stock Parts Locator is used to see what HSPO (Holden Spare Parts Operation) in Vic has so we can buy them in. It does also what dealers have too. To access it you have to download a license to use the online catalogue. No dongle needed any more.
