You'd have to really check it over- rust in chassis and all that type of stuff. That "nice seat cover" is not even covering a large split in the seat on the driver's side, which would be unroadworthy over here. Ask yourself, what else may be wrong, and be sure to check it over thouroughly.

In theory the ute is worth more than your Commodore, so don't expect to have it on the road without a bit of work. That said, its getting difficult to find the old utes for reasonable prices in any condition (there are heaps on Trademe but prices are silly), so it may be worth your while to do the deal if you have another vehicle on the road while you are working on this.

firstly the guy calls himself rust & resto?? wtf. how much rust before his "resto" was there? split evident in drivers seat,s that needs replacing. its doesnt look like an original floor change. theres no rubber mats or kickpanels. the tailgate is different colour as are the doors(which may mean rust free but still need paint),top chrome is missing from frt screen, bonnets been removed for some reason as it doesnt line up. has bench seat with nice cover?? double wtf,its not nice & why mention it?? the list could go on. most of these are minor issues but some you have to ask yourself about. all in all it appears reasonable but probably worth less in this state than your commodore. its already reached the reserve so he would probably be happy with 1000 bucks for it.if you have some cash buy it or say you will swap with cash your way. go check it over, make sure the cuzzy bros havent taken it down the beach for pipi's or anything like that. wof;s are a bugger to get in nz(unless you get one from the local pubso make sure he has the papers saying whats wrong & his dog didnt eat or whatever. go over it with a magnet as well, check the front cowl panel, the rear quarter, sill panels, bottom of the back window etc as well. wellington is bloody wet & miserable so it may have hidden cancer.
