VX V6 GTX Information

just trying to find out about this car and what if any mods have been done to the motor.It comes with body kit fog lights gts dash and a few more electrics,I don't think there were a lot made dose anyone know much about them.Any info appreciated

Got any pics of the car? I've never heard of a "GTX"...unless of course you mean a HSV GTS...Holden never released a car called the "GTX", and I highly doubt HSV did either...if it says GTX anywhere on it, I'm willing to bet thats something someone did themselves.

theres a guy trying to sell one and i was at the same point i have never herd of one either but he has told me that it is lagit but i thought i would throw it out there and see if anyone has any info cheers anyhow

Unlikely. The closest holden you would fid to a 'GTX' would be either a GTS or a GTR-X Torana.

For a start, if there were a GTX, it's incredibly rare and not well known. Even if that were the case, why would they have built a special model GTX with a v6?

So what if he has told you it's legit? He has something to gain by telling you it's legit, we have nothing to gain by telling you it's not. There is no GTX.

UNLESS, he hass ordered some Pontiac GTX badges from the US and stuck them on a VX. This seems most likely.

I havnt heard of a GTX but i know there were dealer optioned vt/vx(execs an berlinas i believe) that were called GTRs just a bodykit an stickers if i remember right. might be 1 of these.

Another thing, if it was legit it would likely have a build plate stating that its a GTX, but since neither Holden nor HSV ever released a GTX, thats extremely unlikely.
