    Default Fusion pack

    Hey guys and girls,
I'm buying a secondhand ve calais at the moment. The dealer is really pushing the paint and interior protection pack he says it warrantys the paint and leather and will knock it down to $1500 from $2300 and chuck in darkest legal tint as well. Is it worth getting? or should i spend that money on tint and a shed load of car cleaners?

It''s a total waste of money and a typical trick used by dealers to boost their profits, nothing more. You will generally find that having those treatments done by the specialists who do them is a lot cheaper than any deal that the dealer offers, but it is still totally uneccessary.

Save the cash and just keep the car clean inside and out. It will have no bearing whatsoever on the obligatory warranty if you tell them where to stick it their "treatments".

Cheers mate! I thought it sounded like a scam, I'll just get some tint myself because i've got a ton of waxs and cleaners anyway, all i need is something for the leather!

Yeah, I work at a car yard/smash repairer and used to be the detailer. I still laugh at the guys who opt for the "paint protection".
We drop them off at the shops while we do it so they can't see how little is actually done

Get yourself a decent wax, sealant and leather conditioner and do it yourself for 1/10th the price
