Im currently looking at getting a new catback exhaust for my v6 VX commodore and i have two options.
1. Lukey 2.5" catback with only the front resonator
quoted at $305 fitted
2. Redback 2.5" catback with front and rear resonator
quoted at $350 fitted
Im leaning more towards the lukey system because its slightly cheaper and will be louder.. but will the lack of a rear resonator make it sound bad in anyway?
Just checking to see what other's opinions are on the matter..
Also, If anybody knows of any cheaper prices around the Ipswich area, QLD, id be very appreciative
Thanks
you dont need a rear muffler/resi , it will just get rif of sound a make it quiet, not to mention cost more =/
Lukey ftw..
yeh i definately think ill go the lukey. from what ive heard they sound pretty good.
i had a lukey back when i had my vl and it sounded really nice and im gonna be getting a catback for my vy (v6) soon and im gonna go for a lukey
hey bro. Try Scotts Rods in West Ipswich. 47 Keogh Street. They served me really well on a 2.5" redback catback. Cant be sure on the sound quality but it was chea and they seemed really good. Still waiting to get the exhaust in
yeh a bit better sounding i hope anyway haha
ok just rung up scotts rods and they quoted me a redback system for $255 fitted. so now my two options are
Lukey 2.5" catback - $305
Redback 2.5" catback - $255
does anybody have any recommendations? would the lukey be worth the extra 50 bucks? oh yeh and both these systems have no rear resonator.
look on youtube for vids of the 2 systems, Rob Bliss Exhausts at Geebung is amazing btw, dunno what type they put on mine though... cost me $250 dead and sounds nice (buyign extractors a few months later however gave it the nice grumble haha)
Have the Lukey 2.5 inch bolt on attached to the VZ at the moment, which Im quite happy with.
Nice rumble when you drive it normally, and enough noise when you give it some boot.
