Angry Removing acrylic fence paint from back lights and panel

Hi all, my worst half (previously better-half) just backed the car into our fence. No panel damage as such, but has left a nice white streak of paint on the L/H light assembly and along the L/H boot panel. The vehicle colour is 'Karma' - metalic. I know that the fence paint is acrylic.

The car is just months old... What's the best way to 'reasonably' safely remove the paint (other than take it to a spray shop). Or should I just open the wallet...

    Cheers,

TRy using a paint cleaner or some Maguires scratch x scratch remover .,this is a very fine abrasive paste or some 1500 wet and dry with water with heaps of washing detergent . Just take your time and it should come off

Thanks Dayvo, thankfully it was a water-based acrylic paint so with some wash and blunt finger-nails (I chew-em) I got all of it offl - except for a very faint outline which 'should' come out over time.

    Thanks guys.

Wouldn't even a light cut take off part of the top coat?

Also, what's with toothpaste? Is it the fluoride, or just a very slight abbrasive?

, on that thought, maybe I should try some cutting compound on the teeth... might get rid of some coffee stains. OK, might kill me too, but at least I'd go with a nice smile
