    Default Tires (again)

Hey Guys. Any One heard of the Tyres Rotalla?

245-35-19 TYRES - eBay Tyres, Wheels, Tyres, Car, Truck Parts, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 25-Sep-10 17:23:02 AEST)

TREAD WEAR IS 340 TRACTION IS A AND TEMP IS A.

Done a lot of Googling and most reviews say they are a pretty good average tyre. Just wondering has anyone tried these?

Yes if i had the cash i would get the best tires possible. But right now the tires are almost gone and just need ones to tie me over. The Tires i have on now have the Same TREADWEAR IS 340 TRACTION IS A AND TEMP IS A

Or anyone can recommend better ones for a very similar price.

    Cheers

Tread pattern look good, not too agressive. However the compound/life is probably something you should be concerned about. You might get a good tyre for $115, but will it last?

I was looking for a solid mid range tyre, good handling/grip, low road noise etc etc for a lesser price. Ended up with Kenda's for $140 each for 235/40/18

Yeah but it's not all about the pattern...it's about the structure and compound and design/manufacture quality of the tyre. Ring up your local tyre shop and ask them what they think. Then give them a budget and get them to list some possibilities. Trust me, Tyre's is the one thing you don't want to get wrong. Because no matter how much brake power your car has, if you need to stop quickly, it all comes down to the tyre.

Think what ill do if just give 2 a go on the rear and see how they hold up. If they are shit guess im going to have to get out the creditcard

    Nankang's are more well known...Try Kenda's

Also speak to The Wheel Deal - they are one of the site sponsors, he's very helpful there. I didn't end up buying anything off him because I found the Kenda's but definately knock on his door before you launch into unkown ebay waters.

ummm they sound rock hard with tread wear at 340. slip and slide everywhere. even though traction is A, it must be a low A. the tread design looks ok, not gay looking high performance style like some cheap tyres.

i reckon they will last for a while, depending on the actual tread depth.

whats a set of federal f595's worth?

i had a set of nexen n7000 on my ute, they were quite good. lasted for ages even with me driving.

Well i am only doing Freeway Driving, so High performance would be a waste of cash i think, Just they are the same specs as what i have now, just wanted to see what others thought. Well ill give them a go, try them out and do a review for them, guess someone has to take them for a test lol

Nankang and Durun - Both good low quality tyre brands.

Run Nankangs on my 18's at $140 a piece, they're pretty slippery in the wet, but not too bad.

Run Duruns on my 17's at $82 a piece, have lasted me about 10 months, showing signs of inner wear, but that's due to being lowered and having no camber kit. Pretty good for wet driving, did me well over the winter. But, for $82 a corner fitted, im stoked they've lasted this long.

you get what you pay for, i doubt a $115 Tyre is going to preform well and hold the road in the wet.

Hey All, Just a Quick update that finally got the tires fitted today, Must say they are quite good, seem to grip as much as my Nexen N3000s i had, if anything the ride comfort is a little smoother.
Just a little FYI, if heaven forbid your foot slips on the clutch , everyone is going to know and im not kidding.
