........What do you think? It has no energy source of any kind, so at best it a big pinwheel that's good for entertaining little children.

These products performance is inversely related to the IQ of the user.

As the IQ of the user decreased the performance gains increase and vise versa.

There are a variety of products that fall into this category, most of them distributed via ebay, they include:

Swirly intake pipe things, intake sensor "chips", electric turbo/superchargers and the like.

    Hope this helps.

i bought one of them once!!!! i was so hungover trawling ebay, stumbled on it. read 60,000 rpm, thought "that sucker spins faster that my angle grinder!!!!"

so obviously bought it... was grossly dissappointed when i later realised it had no motor so now i spin it up with the air gun and it makes a cool 'siren' type noise.

i gotta stay off ebay when hungover

Have a look at your MAF, it has a mesh there, and its job is to 'straighten' the air so it can read properly. So one of these swirly things with just be countered by the MAF. Also highly doubt that it will actully change the airflow 'direction' at all, the air will simply spin the 'blades', not the blades spin the air.

What amazes me isn't the fact that there are actually people stupid enough to buy these things - it's the fact that there are so idiots, it's actually worth manufacturing the bloody things!

( I must admit, I've been intrigued by the possibility of cheap power boosts for some time. I'm still working out how to harness my mate's farts to the intake. When he's around, who need nitrous?)

dont need to. simple theory really. people open up their air inlets to allow more flow. sticking something that restrictive means less flow.

also, how much money do car manufacturers put into R&D. you dont think they would be using this tech already if it worked?
