    Gday all...never been down this path before..
    Is there a website to check what numbers etc have already been taken or do i have to go to a licence centre and join the silly long cues !!
    No idea what the prices are either..
    EXAMPLE ONLY..(YES I KNOW THIS WONT BE AVAILABLE.) 08 SSV

    You can call up if you dont wanna wait in queues but you may be on hold for a bit.
    900 tops for colour on a custom slimline plate, then 13 bucks a month from memory if you want them to hold on to your original plates.

    Many with my limited patience is more than 3 ...lolol
    Not to sure but somthing with ssv would be nice.
    ssv 2008....not much hope there.
    Any other ideas ??

    Like you stated before..there is a number i can ring up and check.

    Yeah it sucks there is no website to check up on My slimline plates were like ~$500
    Black, Red leather, 20" Pentagons, Red walls, Lowered, OTR, Mafless, 3.9s, Diff dumpers, 341rwhp...


    185i, Chasers, Flappers, Venetians, Sunvisor, Twin diff dumpers, 194rwhp...

    Yeah too many people out ther buyin them up for the sake of it n not even puttin them on a car..
    7 characters is much cheaper than 9 but dont forget a space is a character too so for "ssv 2008" you'd need to buy the 9 character plate not the 7.
    If you get somebody nice on the phone see if they can find a variation that isnt taken like 08 ssv or ss v 2008

    just a couple of years ago they had it on the dpi website dunno why they got rid of it..

    Ahh right...so.... ssv 2008 counts as 8 letters correct (the gap counts as 1.
    Ill start making up a list shortly and see whats available.
    Im happy to stick with the aluminim ones...would prefer white lettering on black

    yeah white on black is pretty much fool proof. I will definately recommend you invest in some lock rivets so they dont get stolen like my mates did.

    rofl yeah, some people try to sell stupid plates for SO much. Also i didnt think it cost any extra for 9 characters?

    Whether you have 1 character or the full nine, it is still $495 for polycarbonate, the alloy ones are $385 up to 8 characters. Motorbike is 7. Costs nothing to store the plates. Don't know where $900 comes from.....

    you think $1400 is much, there's plates worth $20,000 here, initals are like $5000, it's insane.

    But we only pay for it once.
