I was wondering about the hsv models, i just recently picked up a 1995 acclaim sedan for parts for $200.
When i got it home I noticed a tag up on the firewall saying it is a hsv build number 153 27/08/1995.
I cannot find any information on this car on the web to see if i should fix the car or just use it for parts.
It has the ecotec 6 ,dual airbags, Holden mags, level 3 dash cruise control irs rear, and is black with a red stripe. It has front end damage rgat needs really to go on rack to straighten. I was going to put most of the gear into my wagon, I know the diff won't fit as I already have a limited slip for the wagon any way. So if anyone knows it it is worth fixing or if it doesn't have any value. Thanks in advance.
contact hsv with the vin and build plate details and they will let you know whats the story.
Piccy of the tag would help.... So is it a HSV "Enhanced" tag or HSV "Build" plate?
Also try this link and have the vin number...https://reports.hsv.com.au/authenticate/
Thanks for the replies, I don't have a pic yet I'll get one and post it , it is a HSV build plate
I just went to the hsv site and this is what it said
The ISOVIN provided has successfully authenticated to be a HSV
so now i am still confused if i should rescue it or pull it apart any ideas?
I don't know if it is worth anything.
sounds like its the genuine article guess you need to find out price of that model then see if worth fixing it!~
